Our Mission Statement:

To provide emergency services to the three municipalities on the Saanich Peninsula, by trained and qualified volunteers, and ensure these services are available during times of disaster and major emergency.

The Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization consists of Search and Rescue, Emergency Support Services, Communications and the Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program who serve the municipalities of North Saanich, Central Saanich and Sidney. These groups provide qualified volunteer support during times of emergency or major disaster, to three municipalities on the Saanich Peninsula, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization is owned and operated by these three municipalities. For more information, call one of the Municipal Coordinators at:

PEMO's responsibility is to these municipalities, but can, and have been called out, to assist in other areas. We are part of a larger area, the Capital Regional District
